Dena Floyd

Health, wellness and sports are my passion, and I'm always eager to teach, share, learn and grow with my 9th grade PE classes and Sports Elective class. Along with teaching, I am the Athletic Director. I love serving our student-athletes, as they participate and compete on the field, court and trail.

For the past 14  years, my career has involved sports along with health and wellness in capacity of strength & conditioning/personal training/health consulting ( at private gyms and camps, Stanford University), coaching Women's Varsity Collegiate Soccer ( at NC State), and playing soccer at the highest level (at University of Florida and Semi-pro). I currently play on the WPSL Women's Soccer Semi-Pro team, Oak City FC.

Outside of school and soccer, I love to travel (in the summer of 2014, I traveled to Brazil for 2 weeks for the Men's World Cup) as well as serve my home community, and just hang out and enjoy my friends and family. Although, the majority of my time is spent with my beautiful son who keeps me on my toes because he is a rambunctious toddler.   I thank god for him everyday because of the extra joy that he brings to my life. I love him so...
