First Grade Supply List-updated 7/26/2012

 


Welcome back WCS families! It is hard to believe that the new school year is almost here. Below you will find the supplies your child/ children will need to start off the year. Please bring these items on the day of orientation.
*Our consumable workbooks/magazine fee this year is $100. If writing a check, please make it payable to WCS with First Grade Fund in the memo line.


Community Supplies: (Please do NOT label these items)
• #2 Pencils - 2 packs of 24 (SHARPENED) • 1 large eraser (Not pencil top)
• 1 package of white computer paper
• 4 Expo markers (any color)
• 1 package of 11x14 multi-color construction paper (preferable loose-leaf) • 4 glue sticks
• 1 glue bottle
• 1 package of lined loose-leaf paper (girls only)
• Play-Dough (any color)
• 2 rolls of paper towel
• 1 box of tissues
• 3 containers of Clorox/Lysol wipes
• 1 package of pipe cleaners (any color) (boys only)

 


Individual Supplies: (Please label each item with your child's name)
• 1 package of Crayola twistable crayons • 1 package of Crayola markers
• 1 package of Crayola colored pencils
• 1 pair of scissors
• 1 palette of watercolors with a brush
• 2 composition notebooks (not spiral & no perforated pages) • 2 plastic pocket folders

 


Optional Supplies: Computer paper, index cards, beads, yarn, craft sticks, cotton balls, paper plates, spoons or other art supplies.

 


Each family is encouraged to purchase "What Every First Grader Needs to Know" by Ed Hirsch
