Originally, I am from Youngstown, Ohio (GO BUCKEYES!). I got my BS in Family and Consumer Sciences Education at the University of Kentucky (GO WILDCATS!) in 2007. I moved to Asheville after graduation, where I taught one year of high school. In 2010, after getting my Elementary Education certification, I moved to Pittsboro. My first two years working in an elementary school, I taught kindergarten and first grade in Sanford. I am still living in Pittsboro with my wonderful husband, brand new baby girl, two dogs, and four chickens!
There is no job better than being a teacher. Each day is different and children are a constant source of amazement. Watching them learn and grow is extremely rewarding. I am so excited to be in my fourth year as a part of the Woods family! The students, families and faculty could not be more supportive. I absolutely love my first graders! It is a pleasure being a teacher here and I look forward to many more years with the Woods Wolves!
